In the Last Trimester now!

Hi Everyone!

Yes, It's been a little while since my last post...right at 2 months! We have been so busy over the last few weeks and so has our little girl! I have been working alot since I got promoted and Tony has been going non-stop as well. As far as the baby goes...My belly is getting bigger and bigger, and so is the baby. We have decided on a name for sure...Ella Grace. This works for quite a lot of family names on both Tony and my families. We also finished painting her room, with the help of Tony's mom this weekend. Thanks Mom and Gram for coming up and cooking so much.
We did white beadboard on the bottom half and then painted the room "Everglade Glen" on the upper part...it was a shade lighter than the original thought of "Pea Pod Green". We tried numerous samples of different colors before we decided on the "Everglade". All of the furniture is put together in the baby's room as well. So we have a crib, changing table and the glider/ottoman. We also got the mobile for the crib today and put that on there. It is so cute...it has little bunnies on it. I do have to say, my favorite part of the room right now is the chair, it is really comfortable to sit and just rock back and forth! I love it!!!

I started to make some letters to hang on the wall, spelling out Ella, but I am not super crazy about them so far. So I think Tony is going to have some made at the shop...then they will look sooo much better than mine! :)

Other than that, everything is going well and I am feeling Ella move alot! She kicks me randomnly and flips around. Lately she has been kicking me right in the ribs...not the most comfortable feeling, REALLY! The heartburn is horrible! Pepcid has become my friend on a daily basis pretty much. It doesn't matter what I eat, I get the worst heartburn and acid reflux. And...my beautiful cankles! Have you seen cankles? It's when your legs blend in to your feet and you dont have much of a definition between them that should be your ankles. Instead your calves blend in to your ankles, so they become cankles! It's really not attractive when I am wearing dance shoes.

Speaking of dancing, if you want to see a very humorous sight, come watch some of the classes at the dance studio right now. Yes, I'm still teaching some and I try to go and take my favorite Adult Hip-Hop class. I have to say, I try not to watch myself in the mirror because it is just comical to watch me dance with my big ole' preggo belly hanging out.

Anyways, we figured it is time for me to post some more pictures and this time we have pictures of the nursery since it is all done with paint and furniture.

Hope you are all doing well and we will talk to you soon!

Love to all...

So....

IT'S a GIRL!!!!

Yes we found out tonight at our 20 week ultrasound that our baby in my belly is a little girl. it was kinda humorous how they determine that the baby is a girl, but we had a pretty good picture and the untrasound tech was pretty sure about everything...so we can focus on little girl stuff! YAY!

But everything is going well...I'm getting bigger and my belly is absolutely expanding. Maybe...just maybe...I'll post a picture of the belly. Tony keeps saying I should.

Anyways, SO Here's new pics of the baby. They said she is about 11 ounces. That's funny, cause I don't think i have felt any movement yet, but i don't know. I have felt some weird things...maybe thats the baby...maybe not?

So, this will be a short post. I'm super sleepy and ready for bed.

Here are some pictures and video. :)

Week 16 part 2

Little videos!

this one is great cause you see the little heartbeat!!!

Week 16... :)

Hi everyone!

We are in week 16 and we had another Ultrasound tonight! It was kind of cool, the baby is right at 6 ounces. So it is growing quite well. I'm sraerting to have a belly. It's not really a peanut anymore...Tony said it looked like the weird creature from Donnie Darko, which really freaked me out! Thanks alot honey!
Now you better be careful and just realize the ammunition that you are giving me...you have nicknamed our child yet something else (before it is even born) that when I tell it what you called it while it was growing inside my belly, it will kick you. I am not going to yell at this child when it pee's or puke's or poops on you either. I will laugh!
For those of you who didn't know, first...Tony called it a "tumor" and now he is calling it "Donnie Darko". At least my nickname for the baby right now is sweet and innocent. My "little peanut", even though it is a oversized peanut now. LOL!

But yes, we have pictures and some little video clips, so I will post them.

Hope everyone is doing well! Oh and we still don't know if this is little mr. thompson or lil' miss thompson...probably one more month till we find that out, if the baby cooperates. :)

Thanks for checking out the updates and we will chat with you all again soon! Oh and check out some of the pics of the baby's feet and legs. They are interesting!

-Love to all-

Something new and exciting!

Hi Everyone!
I know I just started this blog, and I did two posts yesterday, but I wanted to keep everyone updated and not forget anything. It will be a few days till my next one probably.
I had my 2nd visit to the doctor tonight. Everything is going great! I gained right at 6 pounds over the last month...so I now weigh 158 lbs. At my first appointment, I was 152...so that is what my beginning pregnancy weight is...and I guess I'm eating just fine. LOL! Even with feeling icky or getting sick, I still manage to eat just plenty! hahaha
But the doctor said everything is going well and we are right on track!
I got to hear the babies heartbeat tonight. It really is amazing to hear that little heartbeat going strong and fast. It makes everything seem a little more real when I hear or see the baby. I'm sure it will be even weirder when I feel the baby move the first time! Yikes!!!
We are right at 12 weeks and I am hoping the sickness part is going to move on soon. My belly is sticking out some now and my pants are either super tight...or won't even button! UGH!!! I have a feeling I will be wearing alot of dresses over the spring and summer.
So thats all for now...We'll talk to you all again soon! :)
Love to everyone!
Dawn, Tony and the "beating peanut"... :) LOL

First Doctor's appointment

We had the first doctor's appointment on March 12th and they gave us the first pictures of our little peanut, or the "tumor" as Tony and Ed call it. They gave us the whole breakdown of how everything is supposed to go and appointments over the next few months. It's very interesting all of the changes going on with my body. This child is only the size of a plum right now, but it is causing quite a commotion. The morning, noon and night sickness is not very fun! I do miss eating one of my favorite things, raw sushi, but it's all worth it and I can have it again after the baby is born, so thats ok. :)

The next doctor's appointment is this Monday evening, April 13th...Untill then, here's the 1st pic from the Ultrasound! :)

Love to all!

Dawn, Tony and the peanut :)

So here's the site...

Well, with friends and family all over the country, it's going to be hard to keep everyone updated during this completely new and uncharted adventure for us. So we are going to keep a blog with updates at least every week so everyone knows what is going on in this crazy thing called our first baby. So make sure to check back often...we are excited and hope that we can keep everyone in the loop so they can experience this with us. First ultrasound pictures will be posted soon so...hope you all enjoy the next 7 months of our pregnancy and then we'll have to change the name of this to Tony, Dawn and ??? :)
Talk to you all soon!
Love,
Dawn and Tony
